This cookie policy explains which cookies are used on the Seralogic website operated by Seralogic as the data controller, the purposes for which they are used, the legal basis for processing personal data through cookies and how you can manage your cookie preferences.
This policy has been prepared in line with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) and the Guidelines on Cookie Practices published by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority. For general information on how your personal data is processed, please also see our Privacy Policy.
What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that is saved on your device through your browser when you visit a website. Cookies are used for purposes such as keeping the site working properly, remembering your preferences and understanding how the site is used.
Cookies fall into two groups based on how long they are stored.
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device until the set period expires or until you delete them.
Cookies are also classified by their source as first-party cookies (placed directly by our website) and third-party cookies (placed by another provider whose services we use on our website).
What Types of Cookies Do We Use?

Essential and Functional Cookies
Essential cookies are necessary for the site’s core functions, for example saving your cookie preference or maintaining the session of authorised users who log in to the admin panel. Functional cookies remember the choices you make, such as your language preference. Without these cookies, the site may not work as expected.
Analytics and Performance Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site (for example, pages visited, traffic sources and session duration) and help us improve our website. Analytics tools such as Google Analytics may be used for this purpose. Analytics cookies only run if you give your explicit consent, and unless you consent, these cookies are not placed on your device.
Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to show advertising based on your interests or to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Our website does not currently use marketing cookies. If they are used in the future, this policy will be updated and your prior consent will be obtained for marketing cookies.
Cookies We Use
The main cookies used on our website are listed below. Durations are stated in general terms, and for third-party cookies the duration is determined by the relevant provider.
- The cookie_notice_accepted cookie records your “Accept” or “Reject” choice in the cookie consent banner. It is an essential first-party cookie and stays on your device for as long as your preference is stored.
- The pll_language cookie remembers your preference for the language in which the site is displayed. It is a functional first-party cookie and stays on your device for as long as your preference is stored.
- Cookies beginning with wordpress_logged_in_ and wordpress_sec_, together with wordpress_test_cookie, manage and secure the sessions of authorised users who log in to the admin panel only, and they are not created for site visitors. They are essential first-party cookies and are kept for the session or for the period selected at login.
- Google Analytics cookies beginning with _ga and _ga_ generate statistics on site usage by anonymously distinguishing visitors from one another. They are analytics cookies provided as a third-party service, their duration is set by the provider and they only run if you give your consent.
This list is updated whenever the tools used on the site change.
Legal Basis and Explicit Consent
The processing of personal data through cookies must rely on one of the processing conditions set out in Article 5 of the KVKK. Essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function are used on the basis of the legal grounds under Article 5(2) of the KVKK. One example of these grounds is the legitimate interest of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject. No separate consent is requested for essential cookies.
All cookies other than essential cookies, meaning analytics cookies and, if used, marketing cookies, are used solely on the basis of your explicit consent. As stated in the Personal Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines on Cookie Practices, explicit consent must relate to a specific matter, be based on information and be given of your own free will. For this reason, our website follows the principles below.
- Analytics cookies are disabled by default when you first visit the site.
- Consent is given through the “Accept” option in the cookie banner, and the “Reject” option is just as easy to use.
- Continuing to use the site does not, on its own, count as consent.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

Cookie Banner
In the banner displayed when you first visit the site, you can choose either “Accept” or “Reject”. Your choice is stored in a cookie. If you delete this cookie from your browser, the banner is also shown again and you can set your preference once more.

- In Mozilla Firefox, look under Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data.

- In Microsoft Edge, look under Settings > Cookies and site permissions.
Menu names may vary depending on the browser version. If you block all cookies, essential cookies will not work either, so some functions of the site may not work as expected.
Third-Party Cookies and International Transfers
Analytics tools such as Google Analytics, which are used only if you consent, are provided by third-party service providers. As these providers’ servers may be located abroad, data obtained through cookies may be transferred outside Türkiye.
Such transfers are carried out within the framework of the conditions set out in Article 9 of the KVKK and the related secondary legislation. You can find detailed information on how third-party providers process data in each provider’s own privacy and cookie policies.
Your Rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, in relation to your personal data processed through cookies, you have the right to learn whether your data is being processed, to request information if it has been processed, to request its correction if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately, to request its erasure or destruction where the conditions are met, and the other rights listed in the law.

Changes
This cookie policy may be updated in response to changes in the cookies used on the site or in the relevant legislation. The current version is always published on this page. If a new type of cookie requires explicit consent, your consent will be obtained again through the cookie banner.
